How to make a scarecrow for a small garden?

If you are afraid that the pest birds might damage your plants and fruits, then you can easily make a scarecrow for your small garden by following these steps.

  1. Setting up the scarecrow frame
First, you will need to set up the frame of the scarecrow and for that, you need to start button the shirt (top four) and then insert a stake of 6 foot from both the sleeves. After that put a 12-foot stake at a 90-degree angle and nail all the three stakes together.
  2. Create the upper section
Now you need to unbutton the shirt and take a metal wire to tie the bottom of the shirt from the waistline. You need to tie the sleeves of the shirt too with the wooden structure and fill the upper part of the shirt with grass or any soft item so that it looks filled and to give it a solid shape.
  3. Making the bottom part
For the bottom part, you need to fill up the pants with the stuff that you used for the upper section. To attach the bottom part with the shirt, you can use suspenders or any kind of belt. If you have a pair of old shoes, then you can use them too to give a realistic look to the scarecrow.
  4. Finishing touch up
After completing the frame, now it’s time to add some accessories to the dummy scarecrow-like putting an old pillowcase on top of the scarecrow. The pillowcase should be put in a round shape so that it can look ahead and you can also use the old hat too.

You can draw eyes and put some details on the head just to give it a scary look for that crow and other birds that couldn’t come into your garden.
