How to propagate Sansevieria in easy ways

How to propagate the Snake plant?

We will tell you about the propagation method of the snake plant in 2 methods.

  1. Propagate Snake plant in water
    • To do the propagation in water, first, you need to take a leaf of a full-grown snake plant.
    • Cut the leaf of that plant and also cut the bottom side of the leaf in a V shape.
    • Place the leaf in a jar filled with water and make sure that you filled the water above the level of V cut because the roots will initially grow from that area.
    • After 3-5 weeks, you will see that the roots are visible and tiny flowers will start growing up.
  2. Propagate Snake plant in Soil
    • Cut off a healthy snake plant’s leaf from the base and let it dry for 1-2 days.
    • Place the leaf in the soil and water it for few days.
    • Be careful that the soil isn’t too dry or wet and don’t put the cut leaf into the soggy soil.
    • In few weeks, you will notice that the plant is growing and you will see other leaves with it.
    • In just a single pot, you will be able to get many leaves of the snake plant easily and also saves your cost and effort.
